After an early access period, Forza Horizon 6 has been released to the masses, and the first Festival Playlist has been launched with Welcome to Japan, providing a Treasure Hunt to complete in Ohtani.
The first seasonal playlist of Forza Horizon 6 kicked off on May 28 with Summer, marking the start of a four-week period of new content drops and seasonal changes in the Welcome to Japan Playlist.
If you want to hunt down the new treasure chest in Forza Horizon 6, Insider Gaming has the details you need.
Where to Find The Ohtani Treasure Hunt Chest in Forza Horizon 6

The Ohtani Treasure Hunt Chest in the Forza Horizon 6 Welcome to Japan Summer Festival Playlist is found in the area around the Kinkaku-Ji Temple, highlighted on the map above.
There is no cutscene or anything that triggers, like when you find a Treasure Car or locate a Barn Find, and, instead, just smash through the Chest, as you do for the Mascots and Horizon XP Boards spread across the map.
If you have already visted the location, you can fast travel straight there. If not, work your way through the off-road route nearby, and when you enter the Temple’s area, turn left from the entrance and follow the road around the pond.
Another trick is to check the map for nearby players, as it’s likely that there are plenty of people hanging out by the location.
What Do You Get From The Treasure Hunt Chest?
Hunting down the Treasure Chest in the Ohtani region during the Summer season of the Forza Horizon 6 Welcome to Japan playlist is certainly worthwhile, with the main reward being a hefty chunk of 100,000 Credits.
Credits are the lifeblood of Forza Horizon 6, used for everything from buying new cars and new houses, to upgrading your favorite vehicle and customization.
While it doesn’t take too long to boast millions of Credits in Forza Horizon 6, it’s always worth making sure you have as much as possible, particularly with the regular content drops and new offerings.
The last thing you want is to have something new added to the game that you’re desperate for, only to discover you’re short on the Credits needed.
