Fortnite is Showing 10 Minutes of The Mandalorian and Grogu For Free

Fortnite players are being shown the first 10 minutes of the upcoming Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian, and Grogu.

Epic Games’ popular battle royale title, Fortnite, is getting an update, v40.41, going live today, and players will experience some downtime on May 28. The update is set to bring Community Day, which will be hosted on May 30. However, players weren’t aware the game had a huge surprise in store for them, as they wait for the final update of the season to go live.

First 10 Minutes of The Mandalorian and Grogu Premieres in Fortnite

A new post on Fortnite’s blog reveals a Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu watch party island where players can watch the first 10 minutes of the upcoming movie. The watch party takes players to an interactive Nevarro-themed island where players will be asked to complete quests while fending off Imperial troops, bounty hunters, and more. They have also created a theatre-themed setup where players can sit and enjoy the first 10 minutes of the movie, followed by a Q&A with Jon Favreau.

The Mandalorian and Grogu movie was released on May 22, 2026. The movie has been directed by Jon Favreau and co-written by Dave Filoni, and it comes as a replacement for the fourth season of the series. The goal for the duo in this season is to find the warlord Commander Coin. To do so, they need to first head to planet Shakari to rescue Jabba’s son and heir, Rotta.
