Fnatic Allows Boaster to Explore Options for 2027

Fnatic has announced that some of its Valorant roster are being allowed to explore joining other teams ahead of VCT EMEA 2027.

A few weeks ago, Fnatic In-Game Leader, Jake ‘Boaster’ Howlett seemingly confirmed the departure of Austin ‘crashies’ Robert.

And now Boaster himself may be departing the organisation, announcing that he is open to offers from all regions, especially EMEA and China.

Though he stressed that he is also still in talks with Fnatic, having been with the team for the last five years.

Fnatic Valorant Roster Shuffle

After qualifying for every international in 2025 and reaching the Valorant Champions final, Fnatic then failed to qualify for a single event in 2026.

The organisation has now released a statement to update Fnatic fans on its offseason plans.

While undertaking its end-of-season review, Fnatic concedes that “changes are needed” in the roster.

As a result, Fnatic has confirmed that some of its players have been given permission to explore other opportunities with different teams.

So far, Boaster is the only player who has publicly confirmed that they are looking for offers.

However, the contracts of Boaster, crashies, Emir ‘Alfajer’ Beder, and Sylvain ‘Veqaj’ Pattyn all expire this year.

Last month, Veqaj confirmed his intent ot return to competitive Valorant, having not played since VCT EMEA Stage 1 due to health issues.

Meanwhile, some expect Kirill ‘Cloud’ Nekhozhin to take over the IGL role from Boaster after he previously captained GIANTX.

Fnatic signed Cloud on a three-year contract back in June, following the departure of Clément ‘CyvOph’ Millard to Natus Vincere.
