Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Release Window Revealed During Gamescom ONL

A new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was showcased during Gamescom Opening Night Live, as the iconic trilogy prepares for its final entry. Most notably, the game was finally given a release window of Spring 2027.

Its appearance during the show came as no surprise, as Square Enix announced way in advance that the game’s director, Naoki Hamaguchi, would provide a brand-new look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation during the show. That said, the new trailer is bound to still impress fans, and the game’s official release window is a welcome reveal.

The End Is Near For Final Fantasy 7

It was already widely known that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation would launch sometime in Spring next year, but the newly announced release window finally confirms that.

The trailer itself offered a healthy mix of gameplay and story teases, which was always to be expected, especially when the original trailer already revealed so much. As the final chapter of the saga, Square Enix needed to raise the bar and take the hype to another level—and based on this reveal, it certainly looks like it has done exactly that.
