EXCLUSIVE: Ghostrunner 3 ‘Would be Awesome’ & One More Level Has Ideas For New Game

Ghostrunner fans, if you’re still in mourning over the series going on hiatus and saying goodbye to Jack and his endless supply of gadgets, then we might have some interesting news for you on the Ghostrunner 3 front or the franchise in general.

There’s a cult crowd who have been desperate for more Ghostrunner since content for the second game officially came to an end. Instead, One More Level is investing and time, money, and love into Valor Mortis.

Not to get your hopes up too much, but if you are eager for a third game, it’s not off the table.

Could a Final Ghostrunner Game or a Spin-Off Happen?

Ghostrunner’s rapid-fire, Hotline Miami-esque one-life game of jeopardy makes every encounter breathless. The fluid combat system and seamless movement mechanics make both games highly underrated gems.

So, when I had the pleasure of speaking to Szymon Bryła of One More Level about Valor Mortis, I couldn’t resist slipping in a cheeky Ghostrunner question: ‘

Insider Gaming: “I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask, given my love for Ghostrunner 1 and 2, will we ever see a Ghostrunner 3? Or another game in the Ghostrunner universe?”

Szymon Bryła: “It would be awesome, we would probably even have a few ideas for a worthy conclusion to the trilogy or a spin-off. However, even though we as One More Level are the creators of this brand, the final decision lies with 505 Games, which owns the rights to this IP.”

Valor Mortis is obviously the focus, but the team clearly knows the love fans have for Ghostrunner, and it’s evident One More Level isn’t ruling out a future game either.

We’ll have to see what happens after Valor Mortis, as potential success could lead to further work on the new IP, derailing future Ghostrunner 3 plans, and this is IF 505 Games feel there’s room for more Ghostrunner.
