Battlestate Games has revealed the first sweep of details about the next Tarkov wipe, which promises to offer a hardcore experience to challenge even the greatest of players. The wipe doesn’t have a date, but it’s expected to drop this month, and it could be the final wipe we see before Escape from Tarkov 1.0 arrives.

If you’re looking forward to an ‘extra challenging wipe’, you’ll love the hardcore plans Battlestate Games has in store for Tarkov players everywhere.

But Not PvE

In a post on social media, the Battlestate Games team revealed that the upcoming hardcore wipe will feature a few key changes:

  • Increased item requirements for Hideout zones
  • Hideout zones don’t require Found in Raid items
  • Limited Hideout ammo crafts
  • Reduced spawn chance of rare loot
  • Flea Market disabled

It’s not like the team is doubling the health pool of Scavs or making it so that weapons break faster, but the ‘hardcore’ changes coming with the next wipe are sure to make some players a little hot under the collar. It’s especially punishing for those who don’t have much time to grind Tarkov, as rare loot pivotal for some quests and trades will be locked down across the game.

This isn’t everything, though. In the post on socials, the team advised fans to stay tuned, as more information about the upcoming hardcore wipe will be revealed soon.

Are you looking forward to a hardcore wipe in Escape from Tarkov? It’s worth bearing in mind that it won’t apply to PvE players, as one of the core principles of that mode is that it doesn’t wipe. No wipe = no hardcore wipe.
