Embark Clarifies Live Service Update Schedule For ARC Raiders

Embark Studios has revealed how the future of live service updates will work for ARC Raiders, with players now able to expect new updates roughly every three weeks.

The news follows the studio’s earlier announcement that ARC Raiders would shift towards just two major updates per year, with the goal of making each release larger, more meaningful, and packed with content. The next major update, Frozen Trails, is currently scheduled for October, but it seems players won’t need to wait that long for fresh additions to the game.

New Updates Every Three Weeks For ARC Raiders

In a recent blog post discussing updated trading prices for Ermal, Embark quietly confirmed that ARC Raiders will receive live updates every three weeks moving forward. However, the studio also noted that these updates will vary in both size and scope, meaning not every patch will bring huge additions.

The first example of this new structure has arguably already arrived, with the introduction of Ermal alongside the Rascal grenade launcher. Since that update only landed last week, the new cadence suggests another notable update could potentially arrive in around two weeks’ time, possibly around June 9.

Naturally, that’s still speculation, but there’s certainly plenty of content waiting in the wings. Numerous leaks and datamines have already hinted at upcoming Map Conditions, weapons, and live events, all of which could serve as smaller-scale additions between the game’s larger six-month expansions.

Thankfully, fans may not have to wait much longer for more clarity. Another roadmap is expected to arrive soon, and it’s rumored to be far more detailed than the previous one, which many players felt failed to live up to expectations following the underwhelming Riven Tides update.
