The release date for the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 has been announced, with the included content also set to be available on other platforms.
Nintendo’s launch of the Switch 2 last year has significantly increased the number of games playable on the console, bringing a host of titles that the original Switch did not have the performance capacity to run into the fray.
With the likes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 among those coming to Switch 2, the release roster has increased further with the reveal of the date Elden Ring lands on the platform.
Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Launches August 28
Posting on social media, it was announced that the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition is launching on Nintendo Switch 2 on August 28, 2026, but the news doesn’t only appeal to Nintendo gamers.
A follow-up tweet confirmed that the additional content included in the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition will also be available for purchase on other platforms, with the DLC releasing on the same date.
The Tarnished Edition includes the base game of Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree, alongside new weapons, armour Torrent skins, and more.
Elden Ring was announced to be coming to Switch 2 earlier this year with the launch of the Tarnished Edition, but no precise release date had been available until now.
The Tarnished Edition will be available for $79.99 on Nintendo Switch 2, and while a specific price for the content on other platforms is yet to be announced, it’s expected to be at around $5.
