Dplus Kia have qualified for the League of Legends World Championships 2026 after defeating KT Rolster in the LCK Playoffs.

T1 and Gen.G qualified for Worlds earlier this week, joining Hanwha Life Esports and leaving just one slot remaining.

Now, DK have joined them following a 3-1 victory over KT Rolster in the LCK Playoffs Lower Bracket.

It means that KT will instead join HANJIN BRION and BNK FEARX in the new Demacia Cup Global Invitational.

DK’s Rollercoaster Year

It has been quite the dramatic year for DK’s players.

In the LCK, the team has spent most of the year chasing the top teams, having finished third in the LCK Cup and then fifth in the Road to MSI.

Then, reports emerged that DK’s players were owed unpaid wages and that the team would potentially be sold.

However, the players responded by besting the strongest teams in the world to win the lucrative Esports World Cup.

HLE winning MSI meant the LCK earned an additional fourth Worlds seed, yet DK fans were concerned they wouldn’t qualify.

Especially as DK were recently swept 3-0 by KT earlier in the Playoffs.

Yet, DK managed to recover from a poor first game to win the series 3-1 and keep their title hopes alive.

In particular, DK’s bot lane really shone, with Shin ‘Smash’ Geum-jae having a monstrous series and Oh ‘Career’ Hyeong-seok finding huge Neeko engages in the last match.

Now, DK will try to win the LCK title with a tough series against T1 in the next series.

Though LCK viewers don’t give DK much hope, as they give T1 an 85% chance of winning on Polymarket.
