CS2 Season 5 update patch notes: Cache added to Premier, C4 damage reworked, new Armory collection

Counter-Strike 2‘s Premier Season Five has officially launched, bringing Cache back into the Active Duty map pool. Alongside the legendary map, the update also includes a complete overhaul of how bomb explosion damage works in CS2, and a fresh wave of community maps and Armory collections.

Cache replaces Overpass in Active Duty rotation for Premier Season 5

Following the IEM Cologne 2026 Major, Valve had confirmed the headline change of this update, bringing Cache in to replace Overpass in the Active Duty map pool. The community-favorite map was introduced into the game earlier in the year, giving players plenty of time to practice it in casual and competitive modes. Now, they can apply their knowledge to get their ratings up in Premier.
