A player has found some interesting details that might be hinting at Crimson Desert’s first DLC.
Earlier this year, Pearl Abyss officially confirmed that a DLC for Crimson Desert is in development; however, they have yet to provide any details. But it seems the developers might be quietly working on small tweaks across the map, preparing it for the game’s first DLC.
Crimson Desert DLC Could Have a Naval Theme?
Spotted by Wccftech, NANGPLE on YouTube has recently posted their findings about Crimson Desert, and players think they could be hints of the new DLC. The video first discusses changes to the game’s terrain, with blue seaweed appearing underwater and white sandy terrain near the coast. The player has also spotted changes outside of the explorable map, with the South Island experiencing visible changes across updates. Even the North Island now has better sea visuals, with the underwater area becoming visible.
The player also happened to come across a mysterious island in Crimson Desert. While using the weather mod, they saw the sea suddenly stop rendering, and a mysterious island was submerged. The Southern Island has seen several major changes from ver1.10 to ver1.18, including the formation of a new path to an adjacent island. The water island of this island has seemingly dropped the underwater flora has made it to the surface. Lastly, the player also found some changes being made to areas across the invisible wall, which players can’t even access.
However, players should note that these changes do not directly indicate a new Crimson Desert DLC; they could be Pearl Abyss working on updates to the game.
