COD Champs 2026 Bracket Locked in As Final Major Closes Out

This weekend, the largest Call of Duty LAN event in history played out quite nicely, welcoming tens of thousands of fans in Paris, France. It marked the end of the regular season, and, as always, COD esports fans are now looking to that ultimate event of the year, the Call of Duty League Championship.

Earlier today, the COD League revealed the bracket for this year’s COD Championship, revealing who will be facing whom when the action starts in Las Vegas in just a few weeks.

COD Champs Schedule Revealed

In a post on social media, the COD League revealed the opening schedule for the Call of Duty League Championship, set to land in Las Vegas on July 16. The short-form event ends on July 19, but in that team, a $2 million prize pool will be divided amongst this season’s top eight teams.

Here are the opening matches for this year’s COD Champs:

  • OpTic Texas vs. Miami Heretics
  • Paris Gentle Mates vs. Toronto KOI
  • LA Thieves vs. Riyadh Falcons
  • FaZe Vegas vs. G2 Minnesota

Unfortunately, the season didn’t pan out right for four CDL organizations, all of which failed to qualify for COD Champs:

  • Cloud9 New York
  • Boston Breach
  • Vancouver Surge
  • Carolina Royal Ravens

The disparity between the top and bottom spots in the CDL standings this year runs deeper than ever before. At the top of the table (well, in second place), you’ve got LAT, a team with a chip (and maybe one more this weekend) and the longest match win streak in history (16 at the time of writing) this season.

At the other end of the spectrum, you’ve got Cloud9 New York, a team that has produced one of the worst performances we’ve ever seen in Call of Duty esports, winning just four out of 35 matches this season and producing a map win record of just 28%.

The state of play for COD Champs might already be written. Here are my predictions:

  • OpTic Texas (w)
  • Paris Gentle Mates (w)
  • LA Thieves (w)
  • FaZe Vegas (w)

I can see OpTic going on to defeat Paris, while the Thieves x FaZe series goes to the wire, with LAT ultimately taking the win. The winner’s final will be yet another LAT vs. OpTic Texas showdown, but this time, OpTic will be the victor.

The lower bracket will materialize in a way that pushes FaZe Vegas into the grand final, and we’ll see the two biggest brands in the Call of Duty space collide – El Clásico for COD esports.

OpTic Texas will win, securing a triple-header, a back-to-back-to-back trophy lift in Las Vegas, on FaZe’s home turf.

But that’s just my prediction… Perhaps it’s more of a dream than anything else.
