Treyarch revealed a new teaser for Black Ops 7, starring the primary antagonist of the upcoming game, Raul Menendez.

Cordis Die was a populist revolutionary movement led by Raul Menendez in Black Ops 2. For the BO2 Campaign, the Corpis Die YouTube channel released a video on June 20, 2013, which was scheduled to be released on June 20, 2025, the day Menendez expected to be assassinated and spark a rebellion.

The organization was created under the guise of fighting for the globally impoverished. However, it was merely a tool for Menendez to enact revenge against the United States for consistently foiling his plans. Menendez returns in Black Ops 7 as the primary antagonist, and Treyarch followed up on the fictional assassination date with a new video.

Black Ops 7 Corpis Die Teaser Explained

In the short teaser video, titled “The Lesson,” Menendez says, “2025 was just the beginning. A necessary first step. Once again, you shall know fear.”

It’s unclear what exactly Menendez has up his sleeve for the upcoming Campaign, but the short glimpses of violence on the screens in front of him indicate chaos is coming.
