Level three isn’t always best.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 introduced a new twist on Scorestreaks and equipment to the franchise, allowing you to upgrade them with Overclocks the more you use them in your games.

Overclocks are minor buffs to the scorestreak. As you call in Scorestreaks and get kills/disruptions with them, you earn XP and level them up. You can level each Scorestreak up to level three, unlocking two unique Overclock upgrades. However, it can often be difficult to figure out which one is the best to use.

Here are the best Overclocks for every Scorestreak in BO7.

Every Scorestreak has two Overclock options, one for each level. However, not all level three Overclocks are better than the level two ones. While it may depend on your playstyle and game mode, there are universal Overclock picks for every Scorestreak in the game.

Here are the best Overclocks for every Scorestreak in BO7:

Scorestreak Best Overclock
Scout Pulse Enhanced Sensors (level three): Radar ping shows directional arrows instead of red dots.
RC-XD Armor Plating (level two): Increased resistance to enemy gunfire.
UAV Counter Tech (level three): Counters the first lock-on missile with a flare. Increases bullet resistance.
Skewer High Efficiency Fuel (level two): Increase velocity.
Care Package Jackpot Jinx (level three): Re-roll a Care Package drop one time.
Counter UAV Counter Tech (level three): Counters the first lock-on missile with a flare. Increases bullet resistance.
Napalm Strike Intel Sweep (level three): Flames burn longer.
LDBR Second Strike (level three): Marks a second target location. Reduced payload per zone.
Sentry Turret Ball Pivot (level two): Increased turret rotation for greater coverage.
Hand Cannon Akimbo (level three): Dual Hand Cannons.
Hellstorm Secondary Payload (level two): Additional cluster missile.
Watchdog Helo Armor Plating (level two): Improved durability against enemy attack.
Gravemaker Extended Mag (level two): A larger magazine provides more ammo.
Interceptors Air Patrol (level three): Reveals enemies longer and displays their movement directions while aiming a strike.
D.A.W.G. Large Battery (level two): Longer active duration.
HKDs Extra Drop Pods (level three): Deploy additional GDU drop pods.
Rhino Sonar Pulse (level three): Reveals nearby enemy location on Rhino’s minimap. Enhanced radar length and duration.
VTOL Warship Engine Boost (level three): Adds ability to boost in a direction, breaking enemy rocket lock-on.
HARP Flare System (level three): Deploys flares against incoming lock-on rockets.
EMP Systems Signal Boost (level three): Prevents enemies from using Scorestreaks and Field Upgrades for a long duration.
Legion Extended Battery (level two): Extended flight duration for drones.

The list tends to avoid Dipatcher perks that reduce the Scorestreak’s cost, because its benefit is obvious. If you’re struggling to get the Scorestreak or just want to spam UAVs as much as possible when paired with the Bankroll perk, Dispatch is always a good Overclock to go for.

As for the rest of the Overclocks, most of them either increase the duration of the scorestreak or the lethality of the streak’s damage. While most Overclocks are viable in some way, we’ve chosen the options that allow you to earn more kills and increase your KD once you call in the scorestreak in Black Ops 7.
