Insider Gaming has learned about the stark amount of resources that Ubisoft has put into Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced.
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is scheduled to launch in a matter of weeks, on July 9, 2026, and Ubisoft has put a massive amount of resources into its development. While the exact number of developers is currently unknown, 15 studios at Ubisoft had involvement, including some who recently saw layoffs and closures.
15 Studios Worked on Black Flag Resynced
Insider Gaming understands that the following studios worked on Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced:
- Singapore (lead studio)
- Barcelona
- Belgrade
- Bordeaux
- Bucharest
- Chengdu
- DaNang
- India
- Kyiv
- Montpellier
- Montreal
- Philippines
- Shanghai
- Sofia
- Quebec
Of the 15 studios, Ubisoft has since shut down the Belgrade studio as part of the publisher’s recent cost restructuring efforts, which also saw Winnipeg close its doors and Barcelona undergo changes, including layoffs.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows also had a similar number of studios working on it, but the budgets of both games are currently unknown.
Assassin’s Creed Blag Flag Resynced will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC on July 9, 2026.
