ARC Raiders is getting a PvE-based map condition called Security Agreement (per a translation), but there’s a huge catch – it’s only coming to Chinese playtests for now. It’s not clear if it’ll land on the core version of the game anytime soon, but if it does, it could be a huge win for PvE-focused fans that brings many of them back to the dwindling extraction adventure title.
On the Chinese website advertising the tests, a news article was posted describing the new map condition, which has been rumored to appear on the localized version of the game for several weeks. You can find out everything you need to know about Security Agreement below.
Will ARC Raiders Get PvE Globally?
The concept of PvE surfacing in ARC Raiders has plagued gamers for the longest time. Or, at least, since the game hit the market in October 2025 and skyrocketed up the charts. Embark Studios, the game’s developer, has had a rocky time of late, and it came to a head when the team announced a ‘slowing down’ of major game updates.
Regardless, the title is still set to surface in China, with a specialized, localized version that includes Chinese text on all in-game assets, and likely some tuned story elements or narrative aspects, as is the region and precedent.
What China is also getting is a PvE-focused map condition called Security Agreement (translated).
Here’s the spiel from the Chinese site that advertised what this condition entails (again, translated):
Thanks to the efforts of the raiders, communication equipment in the area has been temporarily restored. Shani, the security chief of Speranza, has used the restored communications relays to establish a security agreement in the area to prevent raiders from harming each other.
However, some malicious raiders may use overloaded batteries to block communications and bypass the security agreement. After actively disconnecting communications, the antenna on a raider’s backpack will flash red; please be vigiliant.
The ‘Security Agreement’ PvE friendly event for the ARC Raiders Chinese server will be launched during the ARC Light Test. The first closed beta for the Chinese server has already begun.
That’s about it. Those participating in the Chinese ARC Raiders test are actively enjoying a PvE mode right now, and that, of course, doesn’t sit well with the fans around the world who have been begging for a PvE condition of some sort since day one.
As I said, there’s no indication of whether this event will ever reach the Western market, but I can’t see why not. It would be overwhelmingly easy for Embark Studios to add it to the base platform.
