Amazon Reveals Pokémon Winds & Waves Price

Amazon looks to have revealed the release price for Pokémon Winds & Waves over a year ahead of the expected release, showcasing that players can expect to pay the higher price point for the Nintendo Switch 2 title.

The tenth generation of Pokémon will be released in 2027 and was first revealed during Pokémon Day in February, which marked the 30th anniversary of the franchise, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more details.

While there’s nothing new coming out of The Pokémon Company or Nintendo themselves, Amazon pre-orders look to have revealed the price.

Amazon Reveals Pokémon Gen 10 Price

A listing on the Amazon Germany storefront says Pokémon Winds & Waves will cost €79.99, which, based on Nintendo’s latest pricing structure, suggests a price of $79.99 in the United States.

That price point is higher than the most recent Pokémon release on Nintendo Switch 2, Pokémon Pokopia, which was also a platform exclusive, marking the first time a Pokémon title was Switch 2 exclusive, as Legends: Z-A was also available on the last generation.

Pokopia was released with an MSRP of $69.99 in the United States, which means that if Amazon’s pricing is accurate, Winds & Waves will cost $10 more.

However, Amazon has raised the prices of video games, including Pokopia, previously, so it may not be a direct indication of the true MSRP. Additionally, as it’s a pre-order well in advance of release, the precise details could be set to change.

That’s already evident with the listings stating a release date of Friday, December 31, 2027, which is almost certainly not the actual release date.

We still don’t know exactly when Pokémon Winds & Waves will be released, but the general expectation is for a Fall 2027 release, around November time, based on previous generation releases.
