Not one, but two high-profile games have been unearthed through screenshots: A Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands spin-off was a success, resulting in development on a sequel, whose status remains a mystery, although it’s believed to have been canceled, and the in-development Brothers in Arms.
Lost Boys Interactive was under the Gearbox and Take-Two umbrella, but is now an independent studio once more. This means it’s not working on several titles, including a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands sequel and Brothers in Arms. Images show how the games were (and maybe still are) coming along.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Sequel Canceled?

Again, it was never official, but numerous reports pointed to a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands sequel, with enough interest and success in the original to warrant a follow-up. It was a nice departure from the usual Borderlands format, and a sequel would have been good.
However, through MP1st, we’ve learned that ‘Originating from the website of a former Lost Boys developer,’ screenshots have emerged online, and the article believes the ‘project was either canceled or fundamentally reworked.’
This doesn’t mean either is true, but it does mean there’s a good chance that any work on a Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has gone with Lost Boys Interactive out the door, and Gearbox has nothing for it.
The images look glorious as well. There’s plenty of size and scale to the environments, with one image showing a pirate ship graveyard, with one split in half, dangling precariously between two cliffs. Fingers crossed we see a sequel in one form or another.
It’s not the only game in MP1st’s report, though. A new Brothers in Arms game was reportedly being developed by Lost Boys Interactive:
‘The project is described as a squad-based “Unreleased Tactical FPS.” While the name of the franchise isn’t explicitly dropped, it’s easy to put two and two together based on the available information.
When we first heard about this new Brothers in Arms entry, it was reported to be in development on Unreal Engine 4. Based on the following pictures, that seems to have been the case initially, though from what we could gather, the project shifted to Unreal Engine 5 at some point during development.
In these, we get a look at the title’s main menu, featuring soldiers gathered around a campfire. But predominantly, the images showcase dark, war-torn environments and buildings in a setting that clearly belongs to World War II, the staple era of the series.’
In a September 12, 2021, YouTube video, Randy Pitchford confirmed that ‘We’re working on another Brothers in Arms game,’ but we’ve seen and heard very little about it since.
Once again, with development reportedly being handled by Lost Boys Interactive, this means progress on the shooter is also up in the air.
