Master Chief is going back to where it all began in Halo: Campaign Evolved, and while there’s a bunch of familiar Skulls to collect, there’s also an array of new additions.

Skulls are a fan-favorite component of the Halo franchise, providing special effects that can be enabled by the player that impact all areas of the game, either boosting things in your favor, or increasing the challenge.

For those familar to the Halo franchise, there are an array of returning Skulls to collect, including iconic favorites like Mythic, Grunt Birthday Party, and Famine.

While the vast majority will provide an increased challenge, especially if you intend to tackle an infamous LASO run, others are kinder with their effects, potentially just adjusting certain situations.

A perfect example of this is Grunt Birthday Party, which results in celebrations and confetti when a Grunt is headshot.

The table below outlines all the Legacy Skulls in Halo: Campaign Evolved and the effects they provide when turned on.

Acrophobia The Corps: Now issue rifles AND wings
Angry Enemies fire weapons faster and more frequently
Bandana Infinite ammo and grenades
Black Eye Shields only recharge when you melee enemies
Boom Explosion radius doubled
Blind HUD & Weapons do not appear onscreen
Catch Enemies throw and drop more grenades
Cowbell Physics mass of objects is reduced, making them more easily displaced
Eye Patch Auto aim is disabled for all weapons
Famine Weapons dropped by enemies contain half the ammo
Fog Motion Tracker is disabled
Foreign Players cannot use enemies from another faction
Ghost Enemies no longer flinch when takingf fire
Grunt Birthday Party Grunt headshots produce celebrations
Grunt Funeral Grunts die in a blaze of plasma
Iron Dying in co-op resets you to the last checkpoint, dying in solo restarts the level
IWHBYD It would have been your dialogue
Malfunction Upon respawn a random element of your HUD no longer appears
Mythic Enemies have increased health
Pinata Punching enemies makes them drop inert grenades
Recession Every shot expends twice the normal amount of ammo
That’s Just… Wrong Enemies have increased awareness
Tilt Enhances both positive and negative damage multipliers
They Come Back Food Combat Forms reainimated by Infection Forms are much more dangerous
Thunderstorm Upgrades rank of most enemies
Tough Luck Enemies always go berserk, constantly dive out of the way, and never run away from a fight

All Halo: Campaign Evolved New Skulls

For new and returning players, there’s also brand new additions of Skulls in Halo: Campaign Evolved, including some that look set to be particularly fun.

Adaptation, which randomizes enemy factions in the mission, could change things drastically for every run, replacing Grunts and Elites with Flood, or resulting in a slew of Hunters to take on.

Another unique Skull is Floor is Lava, which results in taking continuous damage whenever you are touching the ground, which will drastically alter your approach when progressing through levels.

Adaptation Randomizes enemy factions present in the mission
Armistice Enemy factions never fight one another
Efficient Enemies killed while the player is at full health drop more ammo
Endurance Spec UNSC vehicles cannot be damaged
Floor is Lava Take continuous damage whenever touching the ground
Give & Take Firing your weapon drains shield, but dealing damage to enemies recharges it
Hip Fire All weapon zoom is disabled
Johnny Ammo Seed When reloading, you lose the ammo remaining in the discarded clip
Leadhead Headshots no longer provide extra damage or instant kills
Magnified 60-round magazines for the AR are standard issue
Perspective Changes the player camera to third-person
Pop Shooting Flood in their weak point causes them to explode
Reload Randomizes enemy factions present in the mission
Speed Limit Disables sprint
Stowed Reload Weapons continue to reload while stowed
Tempermental Allies will attack the player more quickly if the player kills a friendly
