Match Overrides are a new feature in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4, resulting in significant changes for the entire server until the end of the game.
The new feature drops every match, but players have to get there ahead of rivals. Once claimed, your name displays around the console base, telling the entire lobby who is in control.
While some Match Overrides result in changes for every player, others, including the Rare and Mythic Squad Overrides, only benefit the first squad to claim them.
However, it’s a risk-vs-reward approach, as claiming one broadcasts your squad’s location on the map.

12 Match Overrides in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 have been revealed so far, providing a range of different effects when implemented.
