The showcase season is beginning to come to a close, with most of the heavy hitters having had their time in the spotlight. However, there’s one big name left, and that’s Nintendo, with a Direct now confirmed for June 9 at 7 AM PT.

So far, it’s generally been an incredible Summer for gamers, with a wealth of new announcements across the board. That said, the fun isn’t over yet, as Nintendo are set to round it all out—but what games can we expect to see during the Direct?

It’s a valid question, as Nintendo have been as elusive as ever, but we’ve put together a list of what you can expect to see during the June 9 Nintendo Direct—check them all out below:

As things stand, no games have been confirmed to appear at the June 9 Nintendo Direct, though there are a few safe bets.

The obvious title that should appear during the June 9 Nintendo Direct is Star Fox, the remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game. With a release date of June 25, it’s likely a new trailer will appear to get fans hyped one last time before the game’s back in our hands.

As for other games, we’ll probably see more of Splatoon Raiders and Fire Emblem Shadows, with both games due to be released in the coming months. As for everything else? That’s where the speculating begins…

Every Rumored Game For The Nintendo Direct

There’s room for plenty of surprises at this Nintendo Direct, whether it be new ports of beloved titles or entirely new announcements. Here’s what we think has a strong chance of appearing based on rumors and speculation.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake

This will most likely be one of the heavy hitters for the showcase, and it’s long been rumored that it’s in development. With a supposed release window of Christmas this year, an official reveal would go down a treat.

3D Mario

Mario has been killing it at the box office lately, but he’s long overdue for a return to the 3D gaming space. According to reports, the next 3D Mario does exist, but it’s not due until 2027. That said, could we still see it announced this year, with gameplay to follow in the future? Fans wishing for Mario Odyssey 2 would certainly hope so.

New Switch Sports Title

The Wii Sports era will forever remain unmatched, but there are rumors circulating that a new Switch Sports title is in the works. The last one was a fine outing, if not slightly underwhelming, but with the capabilities of the Switch 2, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before a comprehensive sports title takes off again.

The Duskbloods

The Duskbloods is a Nintendo exclusive FromSoftware game that has plenty of fans excited, though the release date for the 2026-slated game still remains unknown. Could we get a better glimpse of the game during the Direct, as well as an idea of when we can finally get our hands on it? Fingers crossed!

Mario Kart World DLC

Mario Kart World has been out for roughly a year now, and that means it’s high time for some DLC. Whether that would take the form of new additions to its character roster or courses remains to be seen, but fans of the racer would undoubtedly take both.

Sticking with the DLC theme, there’s no denying that Pokopia was a smash hit, and many fans have been calling for new explorable areas where they can gather even more Pokémon. It feels like the possibilities are endless with this one, and it’s bound to happen at some point, so why not now?

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

The next instalment in the Fire Emblem franchise is slated for a 2026 release window, though little has been heard of the game since its announcement. It’s well overdue for an update, with a potential release date on the cards.

The Nintendo Switch 2 collects ports like Pokémon, and throughout Summer Game Fest, a host of games have already been confirmed for the platform. Well, it likely won’t stop there, as some of the best games from the past few years are bound to arrive on the handheld, with a ton already leaked or rumored, including:

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Metaphor: ReFantazio
  • Mewgenics
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Starfield
  • Stellar Blade

And so many more! It’s like shooting fish in a barrel trying to guess which ones could appear, so go in with an open mind!

Other Potential Appearances

As usual, there are bound to be plenty of surprises during the Nintendo Direct, and it’s impossible to predict them all. That said, here are a few more titles that could appear at the event, even if they’re along the lines of wishful thinking:

  • New Zelda title
  • Something Kirby (Remake?)
  • New WarioLand/WarioWare
  • Super Metroid Remake
  • Metroid 6
  • Rhythm Heaven Groove
  • New Xenoblade Chronicles
