It doesn’t matter if it’s a remake; Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is hot stuff, and Ubisoft would be wise to make it as available as possible across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC. Let me guide you through all of its platforms.

Last gen is still going strong, and current gen won’t be current-gen for much longer with the PS6 and Project Helix around the corner. Unless you have ‘Mario’ or ‘Zelda’ in the title, it’s never clear which games are on which platforms anymore.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a must-buy game in 2026, so let’s see where X marks the spot.

Can You Play Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on PS5 or PS4?

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is releasing on modern PlayStation 5 consoles, but it won’t be following in the footsteps of the original Black Flag by coming out on PS4 as well.

It would have been poetic to get a Resynced port for PS4, but, logically, it would have cost Ubisoft a lot of time and money to optimize it enough to run on PS4 hardware, without compromising the PS5 build.

If you’re desperate to play it on PS4, you’ll need to dig out a PS4 copy (or even PS3!) and console. PS5 users are in luck.

Can You Play Black Flag Resynced on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One?

An Xbox Series X|S release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is marked on the map, but there’s no sign of an Xbox One version for miles around.

Like the PS5, the Xbox gets a current-gen port, but Ubisoft has cut off any generations that have come before.

Can You Play Black Flag Remake on PC?

There’s usually never any doubt about PC ports, and that continues as Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is definitely coming to PC at launch.

More questions need to be asked about Denuvo and how well it will run on PC, but the main thing has been asked and answered: Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced can be purchased through Steam or the Ubisoft store.

Can You Play Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2?

A Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version hasn’t been given the green light, which means you won’t be playing Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on any handheld Nintendo consoles, not legally anyway!

There’s plenty of AC games available on both Switch consoles, including the OG Black Flag, but Resynced isn’t coming to Switch 2 or its predecessor.
