CS2 Rush mode explained: Rules, scoring, and maps

Counter-Strike 2’s Rush mode is a fast-paced, queued three-vs-three game type built around a rotating pool of 15 new maps. Instead of the traditional bomb-defusal format, Rush uses a tug-of-war scoring system centered on a single control tower, and matches can be won in as few as four rounds.

Quick Summary

  • Rush is a queued three-vs-three mode built around 15 new Arena-style maps
  • T Assault and CT Assault appear in every match; five more are drawn from the remaining 13
  • A tug-of-war scoring system pushes a central tower toward the losing team’s side each round
  • The fastest possible win is four rounds in a row

What is Rush mode in CS2?

Rush is a brand new three-vs-three mode played on small, Arena-style maps. These maps are specifically designed for the gamemod rather than being adapted from Competitive maps like in the Wingman gamemode. Each match draws from a pool of over 15 total maps, and rounds are won by eliminating the enemy team or by controlling the central tower when time expires.
