MindsEye developer Build A Rocket Boy enters administration after year of layoffs

MindsEye developer Build A Rocket Boy has entered administration after more than a year of layoffs and attempts to recover from the game’s disastrous launch. The studio confirmed to GamesIndustry.biz that Opus Advisory Group is acting as administrator, putting the company into a formal insolvency process. 

The company’s latest accounts, covering the nine months ending Sept. 30, 2025, show just how difficult its position had become. British studio posted a £47.5 million operating loss and ended the period with roughly £61.8 million owed to creditors, while cash had fallen from £52 million at the end of 2024 to £19.4 million.
