Kim Young-chan earns bronze in Gran Turismo 7 for South Korea’s first esports medal

South Korea claimed its first esports medal of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after Kim Young-chan won a bronze medal in Gran Turismo 7.

Kim came third out of eight competitors in the Gran Turismo 7 finals, held at Aichi Sky Expo Exhibition Hall D in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture. The final standings were based on total points accrued across three races, with Kim needing a big push in the middle leg to put himself in medal position.
