Battlestate Games has released the full patch notes for Escape from Tarkov’s 1.1.5.0 update, which introduces a massive change for Lighthouse, changes how Lightkeeper is accessed, and alters some core game mechanics, such as the transition to Icebreaker.
It’s one of the more sizeable updates to hit the platform in ages, and it’s sure to be a hit with fans, given that it’s so deeply changing arguably the most hated Escape from Tarkov map – Lighthouse.
Read on to get the full gist of what’s changing.
Tarkov’s Latest Patch Notes Are Super Sweet
The core of the 1.1.5.0 patch revolves around the Lighthouse rework, which includes a massive stack of changes, additions, and removals:
- Rogues have moved from the water treatment plant to the mountain chalets
- There are no longer any stationary weapons at the water treatment plant
- The open areas along the main road have been reworked to provide more cover and additional routes
- All landmines have been removed from the water treatment plant
- A transition point to Icebreaker has been added to the location. The hovercraft stays at the pier near the water cottages
- A temporary task chain focused on the shifting faction balance on Lighthouse has been added
- Loot distribution has been reworked. Rogue stashes containing their abandoned gear have been added throughout the location
- The BTR now patrols the location. Its route has several variants and covers the entire location, including the approach to the bridge leading to the peninsula and the water treatment plant
- Underground passages have been added in the mountains, shortening the route to the extracts in the southern part of the location
- The Marked Room has been moved from Lightkeeper’s peninsula
Additionally, how you access Lightkeeper has changed, and you need to complete the following tasks to access To the Light, his story chain:
- Gain access to Lighthouse through the “Tour” storyline
- Have Loyalty Level 3 with all traders except Fence and Ref
- Have at least 2.0 reputation with Fence
- Ask Mechanic about the possibility of working with Lightkeeper
Also, Lightkeeper’s tasks have been massively reworked, all based on player feedback, to make them more enjoyable and rewarding, which is important given he’s effectively an endgame trader.
The suite of side tasks that take place on Lighthouse has been reworked to account for the changes, and new tasks have been added too, along with a temporary task chain that explains the amendments to the environment.
Here are all the changes coming to improve Escape from Tarkov in this update:
