PlayStation has revealed two limited-edition Grand Theft Auto 6-themed DualSense controllers, scheduled to launch alongside the game on November 19. Unfortunately, the unveiling of these controllers wasn’t met with the response that Sony perhaps wished for. In the comments under the announcement on social and video platforms, negative comments greatly marred the news.

In a slew of hatred that has become typical for anything PlayStation reveals these days, users started quipping about the controllers in their usual tone, asking questions like, ‘Is the controller physical or just a code in a box?’

GTA 6 DualSense Controllers Look Great, But Nobody Cares

Earlier today, Sony unveiled two new PlayStation 5 controllers, both boasting an instantly recognizable GTA 6 theme. They’re available to pre-order starting September 10 and will be available to buy on November 19, when the game itself drops worldwide.

However, the 30-second trailer that was posted to accompany the announcement quickly became dashed to pieces by the community. It’s that portion of the community that’s still up in arms about Sony’s decision to scrap discs come January 2028.

Here’s the short trailer, which showcases the new GTA 6 controllers quite nicely:

In the comments under the video, the criticism flowed strongly.

One user wrote, ‘Can’t wait to PHYSICALLY buy it AND OWN IT FOREVER,’ while another asked, ‘When can I get the digital-only controller?’

The negativity far outweighed the Grand Theft Auto fans eager for these collectible items, which are sure to sell out in record time.

‘But the box includes the controller, or a code to rent it temporarily?’ One user quipped. Another said: ‘Do we get to own the controllers, or just the license to use them?’

I could go on ad infinitum, because there’s no shortage of comments like this under the announcement video.
