The Mewgenics store page went live on the XBOX Store on August 22. The game first launched on PC via Steam on February 10. A few days later, Edmund McMillen, one of the game’s creators, confirmed that they were working on a console release.
Now, it appears to be close to launching on XBOX platforms. All the data on the XBOX Store page says the content is locked, aside from a basic description of the game.
Build the ultimate cat army through tactical breeding and send them into deep, challenging turn-based adventures. Draft abilities, collect items, and manipulate genetics across generations in this roguelike tactics game from the creators of The Binding of Isaac and The End Is Nigh.
Mewgenics XBOX Store Listing Suggests Release Is Near

The game was a massive success early in its PC release. Within the first week, over 100,000 people were playing, and it even overtook Hades 2 as the Most-Played Roguelike Ever. The game currently holds an 88 overall score on Metacritic and an 8.2 user score.
Currently, over 4,000 people are playing the game on Steam. The game’s all-time peak was shortly after its release, when it reached 115,428 concurrent players.
It is not confirmed when the game will officially come to XBOX or when the release will be announced. Gamescom is coming later this week, and XBOX is expected to have a major presence at that event.
