League Classic Patch 2 Will Bring Big Nerfs, Map Updates, and the First Council Vote

Riot Games will release the second update to League of Legends Classic next week with big changes to the nostalgic game.

LoL Patch 26.17 will bring a lot of champion buffs and nerfs next week to the modern game.

And Patch 26.17 will also release a host of buffs and nerfs for LoL Classic, as well as a map update, and the first The Council vote.

Here is everything you can expect from the second patch for League Classic.

No New (Old) Champions This Time

While the first League Classic update released three more champions to the game, there will not be any additions to the roster in Patch 2.

Game designer David ‘Phreak’ Turley confirmed that no new champions will be released this time, but there will be in Patch 3.

He also confirmed that Riot intends to continue releasing champions into Classic in batches.

And those batches will tie in thematically. For example, last patch released three ninjas in Shen, Akali, and Kennen.

And Phreak revealed that Riot has committed more resources to releasing more Classic champions after collecting community feedback.

The First Council Vote

Patch 2 will also signal the first action of ‘The Council’ in League Classic.

This is an in-game voting system Riot is using to allow players to dictate the future of the game, with higher level/more active players having a larger say.

Phreak has confirmed that there will be around eight questions in total that players will be able to vote on.

One of those will be “Do trinkets improve the Classic experience?” and there will also be something on game pacing.

Every League Classic Patch 2 Buff and Nerf

League Classic Patch 2 is releasing a huge host of champion buffs and nerfs.

It will also deliver the map update teased in the last patch, with better lighting and improvements to the Classic map’s textures, decals, and props.
