Riot Games has released the full slot distribution for the League of Legends EMEA Masters Summer Split 2026.
The tier-2 event will take place from September 21 until October 23, again finishing during the LoL World Championships.
As well as seeded spots for the 13 EMEA Regional Leagues (ERLs), there will also be automatic invites for this year’s previous EM champions, Solary and Galions.
This is the first time that winners of EMEA Masters Winter and Spring both receive an automatic qualification to EMEA Masters Summer.
Every league has been given three slots in the tournament except DACH’s Prime league, which will have four slots instead.
It has not been confirmed which of these seeds will qualify for the Main Event and which will have to compete in a Play-In.
Will EMEA Masters Summer Affect LEC 2027?
Earlier this year, Riot invited tier-2 teams to take part in the LEC as temporary guests.
LEC Versus replaced the Winter Split and saw Los Ratones and Karmine Corp Blue compete with LEC teams for one split.
Two-time winners Los Ratones were invited for their consistency and KCB were invited as EMEA Masters Summer 2025 champions.
This was the first time ever that non-franchised teams were allowed to compete in an LEC competition.
And it appeared to be the first step to a more fluid LEC with more incentives for tier-2 teams, much like Ascension in Valorant’s VCT competitions.
However, others claimed LEC Versus was forced in order to capitalise on the popularity of Los Ratones, the team created by LoL’s biggest streamer Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont.
Los Ratones has since disbanded and Riot has not yet confirmed whether EMEA Masters Summer will have any impact on the LEC in 2027.
