Insider Gaming spoke to Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsás after MOUZ’s dramatic 2-1 victory over GamerLegion at the Esports World Cup CS2 tournament.
After winning BLAST Bounty Season 2, the MOUZ roster are riding high, but torzsi believes there is more to come from the roster and its newly added young pieces.
“It was an amazing feeling. It was like 16 months after lifting the trophy again; it felt amazing and it’s one of the best feelings in the world. I hope there will be more to come; I know there will be more to come with this lineup.”

An extremely long series. How are you feeling after that one?
Yeah, it was a long game. Feeling a little bit exhausted, but a win is a win, so we are happy with that.
Yeah, so like obviously there’s a lot of kind of times in the series where you had to show like a lot of resilience. You gave away a lead on Ancient; you recovered on Nuke from 2-10 down. What pride do you take in being able to achieve that?
I think in that sense we feel really good. I think it’s a little bit disappointing that we couldn’t show it on Ancient because I felt like if we closed that game out, it would have been really good for us, for our mental resilience.
Also, on Nuke we had a rough start, 2-10, and it plays in your mind a little bit. So maybe it would have been better if Nuke didn’t happen and we could close it out on Ancient, but it is what it is.
I think also the CT side that we can bring it back shows a good mental resilience and the mental state from the team that we can win from any situation. So yeah, I’m happy with that.
Speaking of being happy, you’re trophy winners at BLAST. How special was it to lift, you know, a trophy again after the struggles that the roster went through last season?
Yeah, it was an amazing feeling. It was, what was it, like 16 months after lifting the trophy again; it felt amazing and, you know, it’s one of the best feelings in the world.
I hope there will be more to come; I know there will be more to come with this lineup. I have a lot of trust in what we have here and what is going on in MOUZ right now.
I wanted to talk about PR. After leaving MOUZ NXT, PR had a great first part of 2025 with GamerLegion, then a bit of a regression in the second part of the year. How do you feel about playing with PR, and what do you think his specialities are?
Yeah, I think his specialties are reading the game. I think when he’s in the zone, he is really good. He knows what timings he has to take and how he can put himself in good positions to give us an edge in the round.
At the same time, I think he’s really young, and there is some place to improve for him. I think mentally, if he doesn’t have a good game, he can break easily, which we are trying to work on with him.
I think that’s his other side, you know, but I think when he’s having a good game, I think he can give us a lot of impact and also lead the team a little bit from the back because, you know, he is lurking and he can give you the edge in rounds.
“Let’s say there is a play you don’t like to play, but it said it’s good on preparation, but it’s not in your favor, or you don’t like to play it, you know? Somehow you have to find a way that you put that play into your own playbook with something you like, so you just don’t follow it blindly.”
torzsi on how young players need to amalgamate Game Prep with their playstyles
You never got to play with ropz, but it feels like it’s almost like MOUZ DNA to have that kind of lurker on the team.
Yeah, he’s a little bit like ropz, I would say, especially when he’s having a good game. He gives a lot of impact to us, and yeah, unfortunately I never played with ropz. He went to FaZe when I joined MOUZ.
So yeah, I don’t know how it is with him, but just from outside, I think they are a little bit like the same.
Next up, you’re playing FUT. It feels like a clash of styles. You’re usually very considering, and FUT is very kind of heavy metal. So how are you feeling about this matchup?
Yeah, so we played them a few days ago, and it was a mixed feeling after the game because, in the preparation, we were ready for the game style.
As you said, they are really brute-forcing things. We knew what was coming, and we talked about it for like an hour, and then when we got to the game, it didn’t feel like we did.
It felt like we were listening for one hour, and then it went in one ear and out the other ear. That’s not the best in the game, but now looking back, I think that game will give us a good understanding of how they like to play.
Also, it’s always nice to have preparation, but when you play the team once you you get the feeling of them, you know, and we will be more aware of things, and I think we will have a good shot versus them.
Xelex and PR are still finding their footing in the team. With time, will it be easier for prep to come into your play as you all play together more automatically?
Yeah, it is definitely, it’s not easy to listen to the prep and, as a young player, figure out what to do because I think when you are young and you join a team you are a little bit scared to make mistakes and things like this and when things are set on preparation and you don’t want to make it bad or f*ck it up.
You want to play it well, and then you start to overthink stuff, so you need to find the right balance of somehow putting the preparation into your own game and using what you have already, and not using the things that…
Let’s say there is a play you don’t like to play, but it said it’s good on preparation, but it’s not in your favor, or you don’t like to play it, you know?
Somehow you have to find a way to put that play into your own repertoire, into your own playbook, with something you like, so you just don’t follow it blindly.
I think they are doing it pretty good. I think, of course, there is some space to work with the prep and how they receive it and things like this, but yeah, they are doing good.
