Kingdom Hearts 4 Trailer Confirms Playable Mickey Mouse

The extended trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4, which also revealed the world based on Pixar’s Coco, shows new footage of Mickey Mouse as a playable character in the forthcoming title.

D23 was surprisingly fruitful for the Kingdom Hearts fan base. The event confirmed that a Kingdom Hearts anime will be coming to Disney+ and the Disney Channel at a later date. Also, it confirmed that Coco, the 2017 Pixar film, will be represented in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 4.

An extended edition of that trailer was released, featuring new gameplay footage starring Mickey Mouse himself. There’s also new footage of Donald and Goofy in action.

Kingdom Hearts 4 Reveals Mickey Mouse’s Puzzle Gameplay

The extended trailer shows Mickey Mouse traveling through a book he appears to have been sucked into. During gameplay, he seems to take the form of the book he’s inside as he travels through it, staying on his mission to save Sora.

You also see new footage of the realistic world, Quadrantum. After that, footage shows Goofy and Donald on their own, making their way through Hades’ underworld and Coco’s Land of the Dead. There are more Heartless battles shown, and footage with Riku at the very end.
