The forthcoming MMO from HoYoverse has seemingly leaked online. As such, there are new images and videos from what appears to be a closed test. The open-world title is reportedly powered by Unreal Engine 5 and appears to be titled Nodusfall.
Previous titles from miHoYo, such as Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and Honkai Star Rail, all used the Unity Engine.
Nodusfall Could Be HoYoverse’s Monster Hunter-Style MMO

Several users on Twitter have shared videos of the development title in action, along with some details.
Nodusfall appears to be a dark fantasy-style game with combat built around weapon weight and stamina management, and boss battles are large in scope, somewhat resembling Monster Hunter-style action,
Trademarks for Nodusfall were registered earlier this year, but rumors of the Genshin Impact developers working on a fantasy MMO appeared as far back as November of last year. The game was originally code-named Genesis and was said to have AI-based elements. Specifically, an “Artificial Intelligence Stimulated Ecosystem,” All-Terrain Battle AI, and “Intellectual NPC.”
The developers are typically known for Gacha-style games. It is not clear if this forthcoming MMO will follow that same pattern. Similarly, it is unknown whether this will be a free-to-play game at this time. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates as more information becomes available.
