A Lord of the Rings War in the North Legacy Edition was announced today and is available now to play on all platforms.

The latest edition expands on the game by incorporating Tolkien’s epic legendarium. Players will explore the “untold story of Agandaûr,” a Black Númenórean and servant of Sauron, who has gathered a formidable force in the ruins of Fornost. Additionally, we will see Frodo and Samwise begin their journey to Mount Doom, as a new Fellowship is needed to defend the North.

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North Legacy Edition allows players to seamlessly switch between three Orc-Banes, each with unique abilities. First, there is Eradan, a Dúnedain Ranger skilled in stealth and precise with both bows and swords. Next, we have Andriel, an Elven Loremaster who offers magical support through healing and area-of-effect spells. Finally, there’s Farin, a Dwarven Champion known for his tank-like durability and powerful melee attacks.

Players can enjoy the Legacy edition of Lord of the Rings: War in the North with up to two friends online or through split-screen co-op. They have the ability to customize their heroes with unique skills, abilities, and gear, as well as the weapons they discover throughout the game, which will influence their playstyle. Additionally, players can summon the powerful Great Eagle, Belaram, to attack from the skies.

Lastly, the game features iconic cameos such as Aragorn, Gandalf, and Elrond, as well as locations like the Elven sanctuaries of Rivendell and Lórien, the Lonely Mountain, and Mirkwood.
