EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Plus Is The Most Expensive Game In EA’s History

EA Sports FC 27 has officially been revealed, but the topic of conversation isn’t about what new additions are coming to the game. No, instead, people are talking about the game’s pricing.

The game is set to launch with three different editions. While that isn’t all that new for games these days, what EA is doing with the most expensive version is, at least for them.

The Most Expensive Edition Of A Game From EA

EA has introduced an “Ultimate Plus” edition for EA Sports FC 27. This version of the game will retail for $149.99, more than double the cost of the $69.99 standard edition. It also becomes the most expensive single version of a game EA has ever sold.

To help justify the price, the studio is offering players plenty of bonus content. Buying the Ultimate Plus edition will get players:

  • 85+ Overall Icon in FUT
  • Season 1-5 Premium Pass
  • Up to 7 days of “early access”
  • Hall of FUT player pick
  • 10,000 FC Points across 5 months
  • Player Evo Slot
  • 2 Double AXP
  • Pre-Order Challenges
  • 3 Icons/Heroes
  • Manager Live addition challenge creation slots
  • Player Evo for EA Sports FC 26

If you’re wondering, the Deluxe Edition, which costs $50 less, comes with only the first season’s premium pass and 6,000 FC points over three months. There are some other differences between the versions as well.

EA is also trying to implement a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) when it comes to the new edition of EA Sports FC 27. They are giving players until August 31 to buy the Ultimate Plus version of the game. Otherwise, they’ll miss out on the extra bonuses.

It’s similar to what the company did with its MVP Bundle+ membership for College Football 27 and Madden 27. The big difference, however, is that the MVP Bundle comes with two games for $150, not one.
