Mortal Shell 2 PS5 Exclusive Physical Edition’s Demand is Exceeding the Supply

Mortal Shell 2 developers, Playstack, have announced that they might not be able to fulfill the demand for the PS5 Exclusive Revered Edition of the game.

A new announcement on their official X account (formerly Twitter) reveals that the stock for Mortal Shell 2’s PS5 Physical Revered Edition has been fully reserved across a number of retailers, which could mean that a lot of fans might not be able to get this version of the game in “a growing number of markets”.

Mortal Shell 2 Devs Can’t Guarantee That Stocks of PS5 Exclusive Physical Edition Will Be Replenished After Launch

The developers have announced to players that, with the release of Mortal Shell 2 just over a month away (on August 20), there is a very low chance that additional physical copies will be available before the game’s launch due to the manufacturing time required to replenish stock.

Currently, the developers are working with their distribution partner to assess ongoing demand and will provide an update on the next steps as soon as they have more information. However, Playstack has noted that they cannot guarantee a stock replenishment plan after the launch, as the decision is outside their control. Demand for the PS5 physical Revered Edition of Mortal Shell II has exceeded expectations and unfortunately supply across a number of retailers has now been fully reserved, meaning that in a growing number of markets fans are unable to pre-purchase a copy of the game.

We sincerely apologise if you were planning on pre-ordering the Revered Edition and it is no longer available in your territory.

Due to the Mortal Shell II’s release date of August 20, and the manufacturing time required to replenish stock, there is a very low chance of additional physical copies becoming available before the game’s release.

We are working with our distribution partner to review ongoing demand and we’ll update as soon as we hear their decision on next steps. To be clear, there is no guarantee of a stock replenishment plan after launch as this decision is not ours to make.
