Grand Theft Auto Voice Actor Reveals Which GTA Has the Best Story

Claude’s ascension through the mafia, Tommy Vercetti’s rise to drug kingpin of Vice City, and the trio of Michael, Franklin, and Trevor’s adventures through San Andreas, these are all core stories from GTA’s wider universe, and one of the franchise’s voice actors has weighed in on which is best.

Everyone will have a preference for their favorite GTA story. Forget which game has the best gameplay, setting, or annoying collectible that you need to get a million of. We’re talking the best GTA narrative from start to finish.

GTA 4 is the ‘Best Grand Theft Auto Story’

In an Instagram clip through loveitfilm, Grand Theft Auto 4 voice actor Jason Zumwalt, who voiced Roman Bellic, has said that GTA 4 has the best story:

“I don’t think I’m being biased, because I hear other people say it all the time. I think it [GTA 4] is the best Grand Theft Auto story because it’s the most intimate. It’s the most relatable.”

Will Jason have a strong inclination toward the game because he voiced Niko’s brother, Roman? Of course. But even I’ve read in various forums and opinion pieces that people think GTA 4 is the definitive Grand Theft Auto story, particularly in a game that focused on realism more than the wackier side of the series.

Furthermore, the actor also can’t understand why it hasn’t been remastered yet:

“I would love to see it, man. It feels like they could do it. I don’t know why they haven’t done it yet. Maybe it has something to do with those SAG contracts. Maybe opening up that can of worms is something that theyre not willing to do.”
