LEC Summer Format

The LEC Summer Split will follow the same popular format as Spring, with no best-of-ones in sight.

The regular season will be a single round robin of best-of-threes with all 10 LEC teams facing each other once.

Then, the top six will advance to the Playoffs with hopes of reaching the LEC Summer Finals in Nice, France.

The Playoffs will be played entirely as best-of-fives in a double-elimination format to give teams a second chance after a defeat.

LEC Summer 2026 Schedule

As mentioned earlier, the LEC Summer Split will start on Friday, July 24, and it will run all the way to the grand final on Sunday, September 20.

The Summer Split will run for nine weeks straight with no week-long breaks in between.

First, there will be a six-week regular season featuring best-of-threes between all of the teams.

The regular season is being expanded to four gamedays a week, Friday to Monday outside of Roadtrips, with Riot claiming this was made possible by the new Studio Stage at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.

Each gameday will feature two Bo3s, except for the last gameday of the regular season (August 30), which will feature three matches instead.

Regular season showdays will begin at 5 PM CEST each day except for the last day, which will begin at 2 PM CEST to accommodate the extra series.

The Playoffs will run from September 5 to September 20 with one best-of-five each showday.

LEC Summer 2026 Roadtrips

Additionally, two more LEC Roadtrips have been confirmed for the Summer Split, planned by the usual hosts MKOI and KCorp.

The LEC Summer Split will start and end in France, as Karmine Corp are hosting a Roadtrip in Paris for Week 1.

From July 24 to 26, KCorp, G2, MKOI, and Team Vitality will battle it out in the Adidas Arena.

And Riot has promised it is cooking up something special for this arena show, but hasn’t shared any further details yet.

Then, MKOI are hosting a Roadtrip in Madrid during the first week of the LEC Summer Playoffs from September 5-6.

The event will also host the Española de League of Legends (LES) Finals to crown the Spanish ERL champions.

Each day will feature two best-of-fives, with two LEC games on the Saturday, then the LES final before another LEC game on the Sunday.
