How To Unlock & Find Every Rift In Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

There are plenty of new additions in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, with the likes of new weapons, quests and more added to enrich and enhance the experience. One of the biggest is certainly the Rifts, which are a unique set of quests exclusive to the remake.

Whilst these Rifts are optional, each one builds upon the narrative of Black Flag, with each one posing a “what if?” scenario for numerous aspects of the game’s plot. However, they all unlock at various stages of Resynced’s runtime, and they can be pretty tough to find.

With that in mind, here’s how to unlock and find every Rift in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.

How Many Rifts Are There In Black Flag Resynced?

There are four Rifts to find in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, though you’ll find them at varying stages of the game.

Since these Rifts revolve around different aspects of the plot, you’ll naturally need to progress through the main campaign to unlock each of the Rifts.

Once they are unlocked, though, they’re pretty easy to spot. As you can see in the image above, the Rifts are easily identified thanks to their floating pillars and glitchy nature. Compared to the scenic Caribbean, they stick out like a sore thumb—it’s just about knowing where to look.

Where To Find Every Rift In Black Flag Resynced

You can find the four Rifts in specific locations across the open world, though you’ll need to reach certain story milestones in order to unlock them.

These Rifts offer unique side quests and send you to alternate realities where things played out differently. What if Edward had kept his promise to Caroline? What if Mary Read quit being an Assassin? All interesting questions, and you’ll find the answers inside the Rifts.
