Fortnite’s never-ending slew of content means there is always something new to look forward to, but it also leaves fans wondering what’s around the corner, and questions about when the current Fortnite season will end continue to appear.

Epic Games‘ behemoth is currently in the midst of Chapter 7, Season 3, with Fortnite players battling to secure victories and extract rare Sprites to add to their collection, the latter of which has added an entirely new way to play.

When Does Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 End?

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 is due to end on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, according to the in-game countdown in the Battle Pass, but that could be adjusted slightly.

While Epic Games used to have new seasons dropping on a Thursday, the same day as the weekly content refresh and the bi-weekly updates, a shift has been made in the past few seasons to have the big change take place over a weekend.

That approach was used for the end of last season, Chapter 7 Season 2, and could be the approach again this season. If that is the case, then Saturday, August 22, is the likely end date.

We’ll update this article when Epic Games confirms exactly when Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 3 will end.

What’s Coming to Fortnite Next Season?

It’s too early to know exactly what will be coming to Fortnite next season, but as we’re past the halfway point of the year, it may begin the countdown to Chapter 8, which is expected in December.

Fortnite seasons usually last around three months, which, if that is the length of next season, would take players through to November. With the big chapter reset in December, that means there’s a month left to fill.

We could see Epic Games deploy a mini-season, like the Star Wars and Simpsons-themed seasons last year, or we could see two more seasons this chapter lasting for around two months.

Overall, it’s too soon to say exactly what’s coming in Fortnite, as there’s still over half the season to go, but keep your eyes peeled for more leaks and reveals.
