Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Story Expansion Could Be in the Works
Spotted by IGN, a new Epic Games Store listing for Final Fantasy 7: Revelation has informed players about the story expansion pass. The listing has added several new DLCs, numbered from 1-9, along with a pre-order bonus, Premium Edition, a Digital Contents pack, and more. However, what caught everybody’s eye was the Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Story Expansion Pass, which suggested some new content could be in development for the title.
More Insider Gaming: Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Director Reveals Reasoning Behind New Title
Final Fantasy 7 Remake series director Naoki Hamaguchi has already said that an expansion depends on how strongly fans continue to support Final Fantasy 7, both as a title and as a franchise. If there is enough demand, the team is “open to exploring those possibilities proactively.” While it’s clear that the team is willing to work on an expansion if the audience desires it, we are still waiting for official confirmation from Square Enix on whether a story expansion exists.
