Esports World Cup 2026: League of Legends Groups Revealed

The Esports World Cup 2026 is officially underway with the League of Legends tournament starting soon in Week 2 (July 15-19).

Now, all of the teams for the $2 million LoL tournament have been confirmed, and the group draw has been completed.

It has led to some huge match-ups in the early stages, including G2 Esports vs Dplus Kia and another T1 vs Bilibili Gaming (BLG) thriller.

They, alongside the likes of Hnawha Life Esports, Karmine Corp, and Sentinels, will compete with Gen.G for the EWC title.

EWC LoL Format

These 16 teams, including the LCK, LPL, LEC, LCP, LCS and CBLOL champions, will compete across five days of action.

The Group Stage will be played in a GSL format with two teams from each group advancing.

Two wins will be enough to advance from the group. Group Stage games will be best-of-ones, except elimination matches which will be best-of-threes.

The opening matches for each group are:

Group A: G2 vs FUR & AGAL vs DK
Group B: TS vs SEN & GEN vs KC
Group C: BLG vs MKOI & T1 vs GAM
Group D: HLE vs MIBR.LOS & LYON vs JDG

The Playoffs will then feature a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket ending with a best-of-five grand final to decide the champion and winner of $600k.
