A big change has been made to Battlefield 6 XP tokens, as they will no longer count down in real time and will follow in-game time.

Battlefield 6 is set to receive a significant update with version 1.3.3.0, scheduled for release on June 30. This update will introduce major adjustments to gunplay, including changes to recoil, time-to-kill (TTK), limb damage, and more. Along with that, players are receiving a long-awaited update to XP Boost, which players are sure to appreciate.

Battlefield 6 XP Tokens Will No Longer Count Down in Real Time

Spotted by CharlieIntel on X (formerly Twitter), Battlefield 6 is implementing a change to its XP tokens. These boosters will now be based on in-game time rather than real time. This means the countdown for boosters will be tracked as a percentage of the match length while the booster is active. The final Match Bonus XP will be multiplied by this percentage.

If a player’s XP booster expires during a match, they will still receive a multiplier for their Match Bonus XP. This multiplier will be calculated based on how long the booster was active during the match. Additionally, the Booster menu has been relocated to the Lobby for easier access and tracking.

Players will surely appreciate the change to XP booster tokens in Battlefield 6, as this has been a common complaint in many games, including Call of Duty. Previously, when boosters were real-time-based, players felt pressured to play as much as possible before the token expired. With the new change, players can enjoy the game at their own pace without worrying about wasting their XP tokens.
