Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast of the Far Cry series coming to FX. The game’s social media account announced the news itself on June 25. Caplan is best known for Emmy-nominated roles in Fleischman is in Trouble and Masters of Sex.

This series, which will stream on Hulu, was announced in November 2025, and it is being executive-produced by Noah Hawley, known for shows like Fargo, and Rob Mac from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Mac is also set to be featured in the show as part of the cast.

Noah Hawley’s Vision for a Far Cry Adaptation

Noah Hawley previously stated what attracted him to the video game series and noted that it wouldn’t be adapting any specific game. Rather, it will be an amalgamation of many different games in the franchise as he molds his vision for what the world can be.

“When you play a video game, you only really move forward through the gameplay section, and then you have these cut scenes that you can skip, so when you go to adapt those games, you have to be aware that makes the human drama kind of irrelevant to the storyline. That is death for a show,” Hawley stated in an interview with Deadline.

Caplan was the first major announcement for the series. It is currently unknown when the show will premiere on Hulu. Insider Gaming will continue to monitor the story and report any updates in the future.
