Deltarune Chapter 6 May Arrive in 2027

Deltarune Chapter 6 could be coming as soon as 2027. This latest update was provided in an FAQ by Toby Fox.

Deltarune Chapter 5 was released on June 24. In the hours that followed, the game reached new all-time player counts on Steam. Then, a new Q&A was released on the Deltarune Steam page, where Fox revealed that Chapter 6, which might be the final chapter of the game, could be released next year.

Toby Fox Shares New Deltarune Chapter 6 Development Update

The FAQ is available on the game’s official Steam page and appears after scrolling past the announcements section. It confirms that there’s only one ending to the game, that the story continues past chapter 5, and that chapter 6 is being worked on with the hope of a 2027 release.

“We are aiming for a 2027 release! Meanwhile, we will be periodically releasing information on the development progress of the game,” Fox states.

In a previous Q&A, the developer mentioned that chapter 5 was easier to work on, which may allow the development team to begin working on chapter 6 by the end of this year. The first two chapters of the game were released back in 2018. While it took 7 years for chapters 3 and 4 to be released, the game seems to be progressing much faster now.
