In case you weren’t aware, Grand Theft Auto 6 is releasing this November, and there’s an unprecedented amount of hype for the game. Pre-orders have just gone live, and fans from around the world have flocked to the digital storefronts to get their copy locked and loaded.
If, somehow, you weren’t aware of Grand Theft Auto 6’s impending arrival, PlayStation will be sure to let you know, as the console has had a marketing makeover for the game, unlike anything the platform has ever seen before.
GTA 6 Is The First Thing You See On PS5

As soon as you boot up your PlayStation 5, the first thing you’ll see is a remodelled Welcome Tab, where the GTA 6 logo will fade into view, before the store page of the game takes over the screen, as seen above. Check out the full load animation below:
Advertised as the ‘biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet,’ you’ll see in bold the release date—coming November 19, 2026, with pre-orders available now.
As if that wasn’t enough, head on over to the Store Tab, and GTA 6 is plastered across the screen. Considering that the game is being marketed as best played on PS5, with PS5 Pro enhancements confirmed for the title, it makes sense that Sony would lean heavily into pushing the game onto its player base, and the movement is officially in full swing.
Even the mobile PlayStation app has received a GTA 6-inspired makeover, with the cool Miami Summer hues backing the PS logo. Sony is going all-out marketing GTA 6, and it’s especially telling that these steps aren’t even taken for its first-party titles: GTA 6 really is a different beast.
In the meantime, give yourself a reminder of the GTA 6 second trailer, as the hype continues to build.
