New Valorant Map ‘Summit’ and 3v3 mode ‘Retake’ Revealed for Act 4

Riot Games has made various announcements for Valorant Season 2026 // Act 4 during the Valorant Masters London final.

Valorant players can look forward to a new map, ‘Summit’, and a new 3v3 gamemode called ‘Retake’.

Act 4 will also see the release of the Blackspyre Collection skinline, which blends sci-fi and mystical influences.

Summit, the Retake mode, and the Act 4 Battlepass with Blackspyre cosmetics will all release on Wednesday, June 24.

New Valorant Map Summit

The new 5v5 Valorant map, Summit, is set in a Radiant training academy hidden in the mountains of China.

In the lore, this was formerly the site of the Radiant monastery that Agent Sage studied at before joining Valorant.

The map is made up of training halls and meditation gardens connected by droppable walls, the key gimmick of the new map.

The key features of Summit include:

• Two Spike Sites
• A three-lane layout
• Three droppable walls on A site, B site, and Mid
  • Dropping walls cuts off key sightlines and rotations paths for the rest of the round

During the first two weeks, players will lose 50% less RR for losses on the new map, but still gain 100% RR for wins.

There will also be a Summit-only queue available for seven days using the Swiftplay mode format.

3v3 Bomb Mode Retake

Retake is a new fast-paced, round-based 3v3 mode that drops players directly into the action with a bomb already planted as soon as the round starts.

One team will hold the site post-plant, while the other tries to retake and defuse.

Teams will swap sides every round, and the first team to win five rounds will win the game.

Additionally, at the start of each round, players will pick two cards: one for weapons and armor, and one for ability charges.

Each card will offer two randomized options, and these randomised loadouts will escalate as the game progresses.

Retake uses single bomb sites from existing maps within a curated map pool, though the exact maps have not yet been confirmed.

Valorant Act 4 Season Pass

The new Valorant Battlepass will include the Blackspyre Collection with skins for the Phantom, Sheriff, Spectre, Ares, and new melee, the Divide.

The Act 4 Battlepass will cost 1,000 VP and will offer the following rewards:
