Gears of War: E-Day is one of XBOX’s biggest hitters on the radar. This was before the unbelievable announcement that it’s a console exclusive, so if you’re eager to play it before October, Microsoft and XBOX are offering you a chance.

It feels good to have Gears of War back. The last few games have been amazing, but there’s a different vibe with E-Day, bringing back stalwarts like Marcus and Dom. The game’s PC Requirements have given us a taster of how to prepare for launch and what to expect, but you might not have to wait until then to play it.

XBOX has revealed that Gears of War: E-Day will be present at both FanFest 2026 and Gamescom 2026.

The big one here is that it’ll be present at Gamescom, which is the biggest public exhibition of games every year, regularly overseeing over 300,000 people coming and going from the Koelnmesse in Cologne.

If you are planning on attending in some capacity, get excited, as you can be one of the first people on the planet to try Gears of War: E-Day’s campaign!

If you’ve never been before, I can tell you that you’re probably going to be queuing for upwars of two to three hours!

If you’re a die-hard Gears fan, then this shouldn’t matter. We don’t know if there will be a proper demo on the Microsoft Store closer to release, and if not, this might be one of the only (or the only) chances you get to play E-Day before October 6.

Get caught up on Gears of War: E-Day’s latest gameplay trailer to see how awesome it looks.
