N Plus Infinity Times Two SGF 2026 Hands-On Preview: Like an Addictive Candy You Can’t Stop Eating

The N franchise has come on in leaps and bounds over the years. What started as a flash game is now a fully fledged franchise with a player base hungry for new games. While it looked like another N game wouldn’t happen, Summer Game Fest 2026 brought us N Plus Infinity Times Two, and I got to try it out—and I’m so glad I did.

N Plus Infinity Times Two is the perfect game if you have some friends round, or if you and your partner need a non-physical expression to annoy each other and decide who’s making the tea.

I got the chance to sit down at the N Plus Infinity Times Two booth during SGF 2026, and I, a dev, and two merry strangers quickly shared a bunch of laughs in our short time with it.

The Most Fun Anxiety Ever

N Plus Infinity Times Two has many modes. I was treated to two different variations of gameplay. The first was a quickfire race to the finish line, where you can collect blocks to score additional points, and also become a one-time missile when you finish to try and blow up remaining contestants.

Each race was the same setup repeated several times, so you’d think it would be easy on paper. However, the second-by-second jeopardy means you have a tiny tingle throughout all of your digits, and one mistimed jump will cost you dear points and ground.

There’s also the dilemma of whether you should go for the extra points scattered around the screen. Do you finish second or third, but sacrifice final standings points in favor of more additional score? Then there’s the added danger of being swarmed by player-controlled missiles as you go for the finish line.

Like Towerfall Ascension, Gang Beasts, or Mario Party, the emphasis is on turbo-charged passages of gameplay. The loop is addictive, and the controls handle wonderfully. I placed well, despite coming up against a seasoned N Plus Infinity Times Two dev, and it was time for our next bout of chaotic capers.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

For the second multiplayer mode, my partner next to me and I took on the other duo, and it felt like the tensions rose and the stakes were suddenly amplified. It was essentially a 2v2 skirmish with tag rules enforced.

The attacking team simply has to touch one of the getaway players to eliminate them, and you can turn into rockets with turbo speed. This means, as a defender, you need to be more wily than a coyote, and constantly refresh your approach.

Multiple rounds mean you all become very acquainted with each other’s tactics very quickly. You could also sense everyone was improving as the game went on, making the early rounds, where we flubbed our way along, look like amateur hour compared to the ninja-esque maneuvers that were in abundance toward the end.

A skill gap can quickly form, but that’s ok, because it’s still an easy game to play, and satisfying nonetheless.

The level design was meticulously designed in a way that tested your platforming ability and understanding of the game’s physics. Again, a more well-rounded gamer will quickly pick this up, but N Plus Infinity Times Two is still highly accessible.

N fans will be over the moon with what Metanet is working on here, and if you’ve never heard of the series, I would encourage you to check it out, as it might be one of the best party games you’ll ever play.
