Riot Games Gifts Newlywed Couple Custom League of Legends Plaque

A couple who met through League of Legends have received a custom wedding gift from Riot Games.

Twitter user lronelia revealed she had contacted Riot Support to try and get a message for her sister and fiancé ahead of their wedding on Saturday ,June 13.

The couple met almost 12 years ago through League of Legends, meaning sometime around Season 4, and have continued playing ever since.

However, Riot went one step further and sent a custom, personalised LoL-themed gift for the soon-to-be-newlyweds.

The couple received a message featuring a picture of LoL couple Xayah and Rakan which reads:

“Congratulations on your wedding! ‘Magic is in the heart. Magic is in the Rhythm.’

“Hoping that your hearts dance to the same rhythm, just like their recall.”

The couple were then also sent a wooden box with their in-game usernames and the same Xayah and Rakan picture on the front.

The couple are currently ranked in Gold and Emerald, so don’t believe the claims that you need to reach Challenger to get married.

While a picture of what was inside hasn’t been posted online, the Twitter user already peeked inside.

The box contains a plaque of Summoner’s Rift, LoL’s primary map, with a message on top that says “we met here” along with the date that the couple first added each other in-game.

There were also personal messages from various Rioters inside, the support team were probably delighted to not get a message about toxicity for once.
